It is one of three central wholesale fresh fish markets in Tokyo. Adachi Shijo-no-hi (Adachi Market Day) takes place on 6 Saturdays every year, open to the general public to enjoy shopping. Adachi City is blessed with many restaurants that offer fresh dishes at affordable prices.
50 Senju-Hashidocho, Adachi-ku, 03-3879-2750 Walk 15 minutes from Kita-Senju station or 3 minutes from Senju-Ohashi station on the Keisei Line.

31 Senju-hashidocho, Adachi-ku (near the entrance of Adachi Fish Market)
Senju is known as a place, where a famous haiku poet, Matsuo Basho, set off to the north. “Oku no Hosomichi (The Narrow Road to the Deep North),” his chronicle that had been published posthumously, made him a great haiku master. In 1689, he started the northbound journey from Senju in Adachi City.
