(Seibu 1st Subsection, Seibu Road & Park Maintenance Section, Adachi City)
The cherry trees were planted in the 2010s, hoping to revive the once lost "five-color cherry trees on the Arakawa river bank," which was a famous cherry blossom viewing spot in Tokyo during the Meiji Era (1868-1912). Today, cherry blossoms of 47 varieties along the 4.4-kilometer riverbank take turns to entertain viewers. They will be in bloom from early to late April. Around the Nishiarai Bridge, many of the branches are young, but near the Shikahama Bridge, visitors can enjoy a spectacular row of cherry trees.
Between 3-chome Ayase and 1-chome Higashi-Ayase Tel 03-3605-0005 (Higashi-Ayase Park Service Center)
Quite an unusual U-shaped park, with a promenade connecting plazas stretching 2 km. Visitors can take a leisurely stroll under the cherry blossoms while playing on the playground equipment with children, or watching the waterfowl in the pond.
